Pilates Heights is an independent studio based in Buckinghamshire specialising in Polestar Pilates.

We specialise in working with individuals who have a current injury or health issue such as post-hernia, post-surgery, trapped nerves, tight lower back, lack of flexibility and weak pelvic floor. Our programmes exercise your whole body in smooth continuous movements, elongating and strengthening at the same time as reducing pain and tension.

It’s gentle enough for mothers-to-be and seniors, yet challenging enough for the super-fit. It’s a form of exercise that works for everyone……and the results are eye-opening.

Reformer Pilates

The pilates reformer is a great tool for full body strengthening and toning with a focus on flexibility. Using spring tension, we focus on elongating the spine, joints and muscles which leads to greater strength, stamina and a more balanced posture.

Bespoke, tailoured sessions

Our sessions are on a 1:1 or shared 2:1 basis and use the Reformer – ideal for general fitness and rehabilitation – the Trapeze table, Combo Chair, Spine corrector, the ‘Oov’, and small props with an overall focus on kinaesthetic awareness to help achieve an ease and efficiency in body movement.

You’ll feel a difference from the first lesson!

Beginner sessions for seniors

Pilates is wonderful for every body of every age. and seniors, in particular, can really benefit. Balance, strength, flexibility, focus are all areas you may notice have changed with age and pilates at its core works on improving all of those things.

Our beginner pilates sessions are available as individual and shared two-people 1-hour lessons.

Online 1:1 sessions

For those of you who prefer exercising in your own home, we also offer 1:1 online sessions using mat work and small props to promote good movement patterns throughout the body. The movement strategies learnt can then be positively used beyond the session during daily activities such as walking, driving, sitting at a desk, gardening and jogging.

Pilates with Naweeda is always a pleasure. A stretch for my body and positive input for my mind. The Pilates reformer helps – with its pullies and springs – weightlessly unfurl my bones and muscles like no other exercise can do. My core strength has increased since a back injury and hernia.  I go in like a caterpillar and emerge like a butterfly. If you don’t believe me, try it.

Having suffered lower back problems for several years, I turned to pilates – and found Naweeda!  She has taught me so much about my body and movement! The exercises I do with her are tailored to my ability – though they can challenge me at times. Regular visits to my chiropractor are now a distant memory thanks to Naweeda and her pilates!

I’ve hugely benefited from doing Pilates lessons with Naweeda these past 6 years.

I now understand so much more about what your body is capable of and I’ve not needed to visit the Osteopath in years!  I highly recommend Pilates with Naweeda.”
